August 17th 2015 I gave this to a friend with an "official apology" inside it because he showed me around Bath, a city he had praised for a long time and I had questioned his words. The letter itself was easy enough, but I wanted the container to be quite something. I basically wanted to show off and achieve that objective I believe. The seal is from my hometown and it was made with paper while the rest is made with cardboard sewn together and with some glue in strategic places just in case. I broke two needles doing this and my fingers were quite sore after a whole afternoon, but I was pretty pleased with the final product. Although, as always, I felt I overdid it a little bit, but I like to do stuff like this every once in while for friends.
This is dedicated not only to those drawings and scketches I make when I should be studying, but to those I've made out of pictures or other artists' drawings. You can find from planes to dragon in here. I make portraits of my favourite characters too either because I like them or because I find them interesting to draw. Check them out. (Numbers mean the time of the movie where I took the image from)

Heroes VI - Juggernaut
Last one of this series. I had lots of fun with the muscles, which brings me to probably try and do more anatomy studies of muscle and tendons.
I'm quite pleased with the feet and the horns.

Heroes VI - Lacerator
I didn't enjoy this one too much. The spikes were a little bit of a pain, but the tendons and muscles once again were lots of fun, as the shadows, although they were quite hard to tell from the concept art. Cool-looking creature, but not my favourite at all.

Heroes VI - Succubus
I am nto happy with her body, but I enjoyed the hair a lot... I like drawing hair. The wings, which normally are lots of fun, are alright, but nothing too spectacular. I changed the face to make her look a little bit more intimidating. She also belongs to the Hell race.

Quick sketches
So this last Christmas (I know it´s been a while) I decided to check the concept art book I have from the game "Heroes of Might and Magic VI" searching for inspiration. In the past I've searched in this franchise for inspiration as well and my drawing of the Mermaid neutral creature has gotten me lots of views in this blog. So I thought to try something new and instead of trying to perfectly copy the drawings, I would do quick sketches of them changing what I felt I liked better some other way. That's what gave birth to the drawings you'll see in the upcoming posts.
By the way, do not buy "Heroes VI". It is a horrible game that has given me lots of headaches and the technical support team haven´t been of any help either. Play "Heroes IV", which is my favorite, or even "Heroes V" is OK, but do not even attempt it with 6. The animation is good and the design of the creatures looks neat, but that's all it's got.

Fokker Dr. 1 - Manfred Von Richthofen's plane
Instead of drawing a plane, I decided to try a 3D version on paper. I didn't use a template or anything. I picked up some pictures as reference and with paper, a glue bar and patience I built this. It's able to stand on it's own and can be folded to be in a pop-up card, which was my original intention.
I've always liked WWI planes... specially the Fokker Dr1 because of "Flying Corps Gold", a computer flight simulator I used to play when I was little.
