Mother´s day was yesterday. Mrs. Brisby from "The Secret of NIMH" represents motherhood at its finest, and it's one of my mother's old time favorite movies. Together with the fact that my nickname is "Rat" at home, this made the perfect gift for this day. She liked it a lot and I myself am pretty pleased with how it turned out.
I did some green "thorns" around the edges of the box to decorate it a little bit.
Using acrylic is awesome, giving you quite vivid colors to play with. I'm glad I decided to make this.
I found this while looking up 'Mrs. Brisby jewelry box' for something to keep my replica amulet in. Between this and your story I think Mrs. Bris ('Elizabeth' as I call her, in honor of Elizabeth Hartman) would be proud.
